Chief Cooper was appointed police chief on October 24, 2022.

K9 Memorial (2014) -Click on K9 Memorial and you will see the new memorial that was placed in front of the Police Station honoring the K9 Past and Present Officers along with the new K9 dog Dark.  Also in the picture is Mr. Gill who carved the monument of a German Shepard dog.

The Chillicothe Police Department is lead by Chief Jeremy Cooper and he has Three Sergeants, K-9 Officer, K-9 Dog Dark, 2 School Resource Officers, Detective, and 4 officers.  Three officers are certified in Bike Patrol and Nine certified as Juvenile Officers.  

The Chillicothe Dispatch Center was consolidated with Peoria Heights Dispatch Center in January 2017 per a state mandate.  Currently, our Dispatch and 911 communications are through the Peoria Police Department.
